Refrigerator cookies

by National Cookie Network

chocolate refrigerator cookiesRefrigerator cookies are great because they are relatively low fuss. Plus, you can make the dough ahead of time, and slice off a few to bake fresh as you need them. They’re great to have on hand when unexpected company shows up. And if you find the right recipe, you can even keep the dough in the freezer.

Once you have your dough made, simply roll it into a long “sausage” type shape using plastic wrap. Once you have the shape formed, square off your ends, and use the same plastic wrap to wrap the dough. Refrigerate according to recipe. That’s it!

I always have a “log” of dough in my freezer for guests and special occasions. It’s just so nice to be able to serve warm, fresh-baked cookies to my friends and family. (They love it to!)

Go ahead! Give it a try. Let me know how your guests react to “just-baked” cookies. I bet you’ll be seeing them a lot more frequently!

Happy Baking!
